Victoria Peak and Man Mo Temple

Walking to the Tram Stop

On day two we took the tram to the top of the island. The tram itself was the most touristy thing we've done so far. After piling in like cattle the tram headed up the mountain. The tram ended in a shopping mall, a super common sight in Hong Kong. After getting away from the crowd we delighted in a walk around the forested peak. The view was incredible and we got to see tons of Black Kites, the most common bird of prey in the area. Although a very compact city Hong Kong surprisingly has tons of green space.

Indian Rubber Tree Roots

Super lush right above the city.

The walk back down was STEEP but benefited our calves like the rest of the hilly city.
At the bottom we waked over to the Man Mo Taoist temple amidst the thick of Central. Full of incense coils the temple dates back to 1847 and acknowledges more traditional culture instead of the finance frenzy that sweeps most of the city.
